Good interview but I don't like the bit talking about how young people these days listen to albums ie they are happy with the live YouTube version. As I recall Von said something similar on stage recently ie you've got the album, it's on YouTube.
It's not the same as having fully developed properly recorded versions (and he knows it). Managing expectations there..

A nice read ...
... never thought about vinyl (or CDs/DVDs) being plastics that spoil the environment ... but yes, maybe it's time to eventually buy some hi-res bluetooth speakers ...

So you have these songs where the production is huge but the song is terrible
As opposed to the current Sisters "YouTube Album" ... good music, f**king terrible production.

Referencing Def Leppard is an odd one for me. Have they recently undergone a Critical Reappraisal or something? Because it seems like everyone is talking about them at the moment. Personally I always thought they were a bit of a joke.

no idea re. reappraisal. i delivered some coke to them at Nottingham Arena a couple of years back and although they are undoubtedly very good at being them, thats still awful.

Must be trying to trick American promoter by going carbon neutral (as a means to avoid real work) and get access to the Dollar
