Don't hold your breath, NME gigs tend to occur on the mainland these days, and besides that they only tend to do them if there's a new band member who wants a live rehearsal before the main event. For all I know they may have sacked the singer and be booking a warm-up at Left Bank as we speak, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

That aside, welcome to :hl: :)

Thank you! I was actually at Left Bank last night and passed a private party on the way to the toilets who were playing The Sisters. I happened to be wearing a Sisters tshirt and seriously considered sneaking in.

Small world, we were there too. Cool place, it'd definitely suit a Sisters gig vibes-wise, so of course it'll never happen.

No way! It would be a great venue, you’re right. It was the missing out Leeds in the first place that gave me hope.

were you by some chance the one wearing the Cats Of Mercy (or Sisters Of Meowy, or whatever it said!) tee? That's the only one I remember seeing, but we didn't get there til late due to me working til 9. On the plus side we just walked straight in without being harangued for 8 quid each ;D

For a band that leans so heavily on the Leeds connection, I find it surprising when there's no Leeds date. I get the rationale for London only dates on some tours - well, I do in theory but in principle, not really. Perhaps at their peak 90-93 popularity (anniversary fan gig aside), there wasn't a suitable venue? Regardless, when places like Berlin seem to get a gig every time, and the same venue, and there are other UK dates, it has to be a conscious decision not to perform.
It can't be a promoter or ticket issue because we know people love to go to travel to home gig so there has to be some logic/issue behind it.
Anyone any insight?

Yes, that was me - Kittens of Mercy 🤣. So not technically Sisters. The private party in the annexe were treated to This Corrosion, wonder whose it was? 🐈⬛

 SILLY! Absolutely no idea about any private party, you shoulda just jibbed in, your tee IS your guest pass, surely  I didn't hear owt but then I didn't go anywhere near the bogs, musta been dehydrated cos the umpteen bottles of Peroni never got near to my bladder lol. Anyway ...

... sometimes they play Leeds, sometimes they don't, it's pretty much always been that way. I think the last gig at the Academy in 2020 was the only gig on that tourlet to not sell out, though don't quote me on that.

It's very nice when they do play Leeds, but I never particularly expect them to. I'm sure Von puts even less thought into it than that.

Remember that gig well, ‘‘twas the week before lockdown. There was a lady at the bar who had a coughing for from swallowing her drink the wrong way, cleared about a ten foot circle around her, poor lass!
