Carter were a fantastic band. 101 Damnations and 30 Something were two of the finest indie albums of the early 90s.

Probably find what you're looking for here : http://www.carterusm.co.uk/

Things went a bit pear shaped with 1993 the Love album, though! :?

Ahhh Carter USM - They were great back in their '90-'92 heyday when I was still an "indie kid" - saw 'em "dahn sarf" many times before things went pear-shaped - by the time "The Love Album" came out they had a real drummer (big mistake IMHO) and got rid of Jon Fat Beast (anyone remember him?)

I've got all their albums

The last few were a bit iffy, but they did a great EP towards the end called "A World Without Dave".

Carter USM will always have a place in my heart as they were the first 'proper' (ie not pop rubbish) band I liked, in me pre-teen days

Don't get me started on Jesus Jones.
All I will say is that if there was any justice in the world, Jesus Jones would have been bigger than the Beatles.
Mike Edwards was sent from Heaven to sprinkle magic on our lives.

Eldritch was a vocal fan, and was seen at at least one of their gigs.

Love 'em - fantastic lyrics.

Got a load of CD's

They are still kinda around and about do various solo projects and get to gether for a surprise now and again. Last one I remeber was at the New Roscoe in Leeds about a year ago. Jim Bob and Fruitbat's solo bands were on the same bill.

Jesus Jones. Great band. Their last album was quite listenable to, but my favourite is still Perverse. One of those bands that I quite liked at the time, then ended up with most of their singles and albums somehow and love them now.

Neds are great as well. I found a website that you could download the whole back catalogue plus a couple of live gigs from a little while ago. I have them all available on Soulseek at any rate.

I saw Carter USM at Reading in 91 - their huge illuminated sign was upsidedown and they had no idea - they were one of the highlights of that weekend!

I also caught in Newport in early 92 - when they were fab - again!

"Only Living Boy In New Cross" "Sheriff Fat Man" etc
