The method I use for downloading streams is a prog called StreamBox VCR:
http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archi ... _guide.cfm
Not sure that'd work for live streams, but if they archive it it wouldn't be a problem.

or get yourself sky digital and attach a minidisc recorder to the audio outputs

or ask DerekR to do it, he records everything onto his TIVO then burns it, no I don't know what it all means either, I use a nifty Apple G4.

Found a way of doing it via Goldwave, but the sound isn't that great. May try again when I not downloading stuff at the same time!

By Monday I'll have a digital radio tuner linked directly to an audio CD recorder (saves messing about with the Sky box). I'll be recording most things directly to CD at CD quality rather than messing about with the low quality streams. If anyone needs a copy of anything just let me know...

Michael, are you aware that 6music on DAB only broadcasts at 128kbps, whereas it's a 160 or 192kbps (can't remember which) stream on Sky Digital (or freeview or cable).
So if you plan to encode at a greater bitrate than 128 (and everyone should) then the TV set-top box is the best source around.
As Mr Sunsets has mentioned I will be recording the session to my TiVo and encoding at 192kbps.
If anyone needs the files just let me know.

No, I wasn't aware of that! All of which basically means that I shall leave the audio CD recorder permanently fixed to the second SKY box. Cheers Derek!

The Fall
Nuffink on Friday and Saturday is a repeat of Monday's.
And you can listen to the previous four sessions on the website.
I have a copy of Mr Collins interviewing Mr Eldritch on Radio 6. Never heard an interviewer sound a/so in awe and b/so nervous.

I thought Mr. E
was a Git in that interview, too many 'dead air' moments, and he was not as baritone as expected, sounded a bit of a weed, IMO of course.

The chirpy cockney act you get used to. What bothered me was indeed the 'dead air', but also his general quiet, mumbling performance. He was certainly backing off the mike. He's been in the business long enough to know how a microphone works. Pah!
