I have to back out sadly. Something suddenly came up. If there's any other gigs I'll hopefully see you at one or two of those. ..

British Gov put visas and restrictions on EU citizens and passports from 2nd April 2025
I was about to make plan for this, not sure if i will make it though :?
Will have to check again what they are about to introduce with visitors in the country and decide at later time. :notworthy: :bat: :bat: :hl:

As long as the band behave themselves and we end the holiday weekend with all band members and road crew in tact then I’m in for both nights. Otherwise we could end up with AE playing This Corrosion on a tin whistle!!

One for the early birds among you - if you want to avoid the exorbitant prices at the Enterprise and Holiday Inn, the new Premier Inn Hub on Camden High Street has rooms for £80 a night.
Free cancellation up to 28 days before arrival. If you're more risk averse you can pay extra for the flexibility to cancel up to the day before arrival.
Breakfast is £8. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Roundhouse. And, no, I'm not on commission.

Hey guys sorry to jump at you out of the shadows but I wondered if anyone could please help me decide whether to go to this or no: I've loved the sisters since I ws about 14 (1990, fwiw), but it's always been just me. I've never been part of any greater goth friend group, and my favourite clothes are blue. My children have flat out refused to join me (the eldest boy was promising till he suddenly decided, without rationale or reason, that he hated their music), my mum would come but she's 80 and I'm not sure that it would be humane, my friends are either classical snobs or actual snobs and I don't want to go with my ex. So I would be going alone. The second problem is that whilst I am scared of never having seen AE live when I could, I like my illusions intact and I'm equally scared he might melt them. [this is my attempt at saying nicely that all the reviews for the last X years have been dire] Sorry this is long-winded, but any insight would be very gratefully received, Cxx.

PS Abridged form: Stay or go alone?

Amended form : Go and meet new friends at the Enterprise. The show will be great, or it might not, who knows? Go anyway.

I go alone from Ireland (though sadly can't make this one but will if they do other dates) and have made good friends on here whom I met first at gigs here and there. On the second point if you're expecting Von to sound like it's 1985 you'll be disappointed. The Glasgow gig was great last year for instance. Go with an open mind and you'll have a good time I reckon.

This with bells on. As someone once noted, all there is to fear is fear of the unknown. The gig(s) will be what it is, likely great but only if you don't expect FALAA played in its entirety, or at all perhaps, but the friendliness of the Enterprise gang will win the day no matter what. There'll be as many not-remotely-goth folk as there are blacker-than-midnight folk, but everyone's super-friendly no matter how they dress. Win win :)

Go.

Turn up at the Enterprise, there will most likely be a bunch of us drinking beer and talking shite on the benches outside, so say "hello" and join us! :D

thank you for the reply - sadly I would have to be so off my head to say hello to a table of strangers that I would be in no state to enjoy the concert, but still appreciated!
