Agreed, fantastic interview and Marx is a perpetually interesting man. The Ex-Sister who still feels the most like a Sister. I'd also be very thrilled if Ghost Dance were to enjoy a wider critical reappraisal.
I think the greatest riff he ever wrote was A Deeper Blue though. That beautiful descending simplicity. Can't believe Gary Marx has the wrong opinion about his own work and failed to list it here!

"Marx doesn’t describe Green Ginger Jive as “my lockdown project” because he was also focused on another distinct set of songs more in the vein of The Sisters into which he was also incorporating violin, which he had taught himself to play during Covid. "
Well now, these certainly need to be the next release surely? Glad you agree.

Thanks for the Interview, looking forward for the album. And also thanks for reminding me of nineteen...
Had to relisten, and was surprised how good it was/is.

Thanks, that was really interesting. Didn't know that Heartland was his (did he ever get a proper credit for that?). And the link to "Rock It" was was the cherry on the cake for me, as I don't have any connections to get unreleased Ghost Dance songs.

I think it's in _Paint My Name in Black and Gold_, and the answer is "no". Also that he attended rehearsals for the Royal Albert Hall gig but walked out when they refused to put it on the setlist.

https://sisterswiki.org/Heartland_(song)
Music: Gary Marx, Andrew Eldritch / Words: Andrew Eldritch
although interestingly on the record itself there doesnt seem to be any detail over who did words and who did music
https://sisterswiki.org/File:Temple_Of_ ... ide_AA.jpg
possibly its detailed on Some Girls.., or somewhere else

On the BBC CD, it lists Marx as a co-writer.

Also on the Some Girls CD, it lists him as co-writer on Heartland and Anaconda.
