The Sisters (Ribbons) vs Genesis (Mama)

I'm sure the rhythmn for Ribbons owes more than a little to Mama by Genesis. Very similar pattern, and the mood for both songs is sinister. They sound to simlar for it to be a coincidence. What does everyone else think?

Snub,
not sure about the validity of the comparison, but Mama is by a country mile the best post-Gabriel Genesis song. Always was, probably always will be. But please, don't get me started on Supper's Ready (sigh).

"She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"
from 'Another Day in Paradise'.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if this was merely a prophecy of what was to come for Phil?

Mama being the best song doesn't say much.

Genesis (Gabriel era) were pretty damn cool in their day Emily, don't knock the rock. Trespass and Selling England are still in my top 10 all timers.
A Big 'Yo Blood!' to Dave Whelan for having the sac to post a Genesis related reply.

I would like to apologise to everybody for posting the afore-mentioned picture. It was insensitive and wrong.
Please accept this as a gesture of good will;
