by the way, I just noticed Ben Gunn's badge... strange... as far as I know it was an emblem of SS , the logo of Death In June... well, also the logo of Leather Nun and recently I saw it related with Laibach... sorry, maybe it's my ignorance - maybe it has been used also by Hell's Angels or something - as they have used German helmets from WWII...

I cannot answer this poll. Goths aren't necessarily SAD.

So: a great rock band that once was goth. Not sad.

actaully, i think the lyrics to alice prove they were a goth band, beyond a shadow of a doubt!

I can't see how the lyrics to Alice prove they were a goth band! Alice is a pee-take on silly people who surround themselves in incense and tarot cards and superstition and avoid dealing with reality. Which (sorry for saying this, but...) obviously works as a criticism of a large number of goths. It's a defence of rationalism and modernity and cold logic, not eyeliner and snakebite. While we're at it, First and Last and Always is contains a similar criticism (only this time focussing down on those rather mingy 'hand-me down dresses').

So I agree heartily with Pikkrong. As for Body and Soul, I've never had any idea, and I've never liked it at all!
