Max und Moritz: welcher ist Max?

This question is for anyone who knows who Max and Moritz are: What is the name of the blond one whose hair is shaped like a hook? If you only know the name of the stout, dark-haired boy, that would be fine too.

You know, after seeing four replies within five minutes
, I actually thought that we had some really helpful people around here. My mistake.
Here is a picture of them:

Part of Tintin's hair indeed sticks up, but it really does not curl back under to look like a hook.

Believe it or not, before you posted the link, I went to that very site to check to see how much Tintin's hair curved. Granted,
www.tintin.org does seem like the perfect place to check.
Anyway, still nothing regarding Max and/or Moritz has been posted.

I'm still very confused by the whole issue. I thought at first you meant Bros. So, who are they? Like a German equivilant of Fred Basset or something?

Aha!
Stories 2 and 4 finally give me a clue as to which is which. I generally see them together and they often do the same thing. In those tales, though, they at one point each do something different.
Thanks, Big Si.
As for the signature, I now know to ask Groundskeeper Willie for answers to life's enigmas.

Bros? Boy band (at least they looked like one from posters) from the early 1990's?
Fred Basset? The brown dog from the comics? He was not that mischievous. Max and Moritz were. To keep on the comics theme, think more Katzenjammer kids, which apparently were inpired by Max and Morizt.
