Bit lost here - Mike Varjak?
I know Adam Pearson plays bass on a few songs live, but I don't recall Mike ever doing so. Could be wrong though. :?:
If Eldritch is to be believed you can't really include Patricia either as she never played on any on the records. ;D

Guess that just leaves John Langford...

Not that it matters, I'm voting for Craig, although I actually thought Mr James was pretty good as well.

I think I'm right in believing Mike plays a bit of bass. Maybe I should have put Adam on as well (and John Langford). Sorry I forgot all about John.
OH god, I've made a right mess.

Naw, mate, it's just that we're a bunch of cruel pedants.

Mr Adams has it me thinks.

Steve303...sit down, get a nice cuppa tea on, and ignore the infidels being pedantic about who played what....don't even want to mention Utah Saints, cos they did play some SOM songs back in Leeds that time....and they did the bass whilst Von crooned like Frankie Bleedin Avalon....

It could end in tears you know!!

If we have a re-vote i'm pickin your Mom.

:D

Thanks man. Appreciate it. There's just too many options. I suppose I should include whoever played bass at the Justin 'Bleedin' Sullivan and friends gig.
I'm chilled, don't worry.
And by the way my Mother has resigned from Cradle of Filth recently due to artistic differences so she won't count.

Craig. But I say that because I think he's an ace bassist, and I love his work for the Mish.

Best Sisters basslines....Lucretia. so it's Herr Doktor for me there.

Craig Adams for me - his bassline on early tracks - in particular "floorshow" defined the sound of The Sisters for quite a few years !

A free 'Teapot' to those who agree! ;-)

Lucretia's bass line is v. good but I can't vote for a machine. Mr Adams HAS to get it for defining the early Sisters sound. Junior's quite taken by these bass lines and has come up with one of his own that he proudly demonstrated to me the other day. It was very good. Unfortunately, it sounded just like Bela Lugosi's Dead!

Bit of a foregone conclusion, has to be Craig. Say what you want about the rest, but that bit where his bass comes in on Gimme Shelter still hits me where it matters most even after all these years.

Just thinking my thunks, but if Patsy didn't write the Lucretia bassline, why do the Sisters play the song without it these days?

Eldritch wrote it and Herr Doktor played it.
As for the current live version - why does Eldritch do anything?
May I recommend the Smurphs for the original and full version live?
