watch!

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Just listening to the Leeds Warehouse, January 1983 gig, where Von sings Watch. And it's really good! It really captures the chaotic, enthusiastic nature of the whole thing, and, amazingly, DOESN'T sound like a really poor song!

Well, I was surprised. Anyone else like this song? :von:

I hoestly love it. I've also always liked 'Damage Done' - I don't understand why Von is so ashamed of the first single.

On record - pants; live - a swirling maelstrom of supercharged noise.

No change there then.

I like them both live and on record. But only the original single, not the dusted-off-SGWBM-version.

Never been able to get into it, though I have a live version from 81 that fizzes with punky energy.

For me it's not one of their best, sorry.
