Bunnymen reissues

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone listened to these yet? Just got the first 4 today, had a brief spin of the mighty "Ocean Rain" and I must say I'm major impressed with the care and attention gone into them. Very reasonably priced too.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Yeh, tons. Averaging something like 5 to 8 per LP. Whether or not they're worth listening to is something I'll have to wait until tomorrow to tell you though.

Mmmmm, I believe so. They sound pretty good on my PC in the office though, but we'll see when I get them home.

Can't really afford them at the moment but I'd be most interested in hearing a full review.
I'm hoping to catch the Glasgow gig at the end of the month.

no one was a bigger Bunnymen fan than me till Porcupine, I think they lost it after that (please no hitting). Heaven Up Here is still my fave, the amphetamine rush of Crocs will never be beat (FALAA equals it). Porc had some good tunes and Ocean had one good tune. All this is to my ears and only what I think.

no offence like La
James Blast,
awrite arr kid? sound!

I shall write to the lead singer of Echo and the Bunnymen.

There were six eps and you listed five bands, so the sixth band must be madness.

"Hope he comes back with the Cure"
"no, it's Madness this week"

Or something like that.

OK, just done Crocodiles and while I agree with Quiffy on remastering to a certain extent (mainly that hearing things that were inaudible on my original vinyls was a little weird) I must say this one rocks. I'd definitely recommend it as a "toe in the water" jobbie. The early version of Villiers Terrace in particular is cool and all of the Shine So Hard EP is nice to have on CD.

:D Try Virgin. I got all 5 last week for £ 6.99 each.

Remember to get them with the slip cases as there are shops selling them without. (not that it matters much)?

Can't wait for the sell out Liverpool gig on the 29th with Half Man Half Biscuit in Manchester on the 28th. Top weekend in prospect.

Well although I own most of them on vinyl I don't have the official CDs, only dodgy downloads

Time to buy the real things I feel. Are any of the extra tracks NOT on the Crystal Days boxset?

Roll on the 28th at Barrowlands :notworthy:

Yeh, there's stuff on here that ain't on Crystal Days, and vice-versa, so you have to get the lot. Bloody marketing.

Just done Heaven Up Here - the live tracks are pretty superfluous.
