By popular request...
I'm casting a particularly strong vote for the first option!

Well, we ain't really got that much after 1985 to make a fair judgement, but let's have a look anyway:
This Corrosion
Torch and Colours, 'nuff said.
Dominion
2 atmospheric instrumentals and EMMA!!! How could anyone complain? (Unless you got Ozymandias, that is.)
Lucretia
Long Train, which everybody probably wanted to get their mitts on anyway, and was specifically included to derail the bootleggers. Can't complain.
More
You Could Be The One!!! The best Sisters B side ever!!!
Doctor Jeep
Some dodgy quality 1985-era live tracks. There are better quality bootlegs, but if you really want these songs (and especially KOHD) and can't get bootlegs in your area, they do the job OK. Coulda chosen better quality recordings though, so half marks.
When You Don't See Me
Wonderful live versions of Ribbons and Something Fast, probably done deliberately to show up the 85 era stuff on Doctor Jeep (oh I'm such a cynic). Good versions of the songs though, and sufficiently different from the studio versions to make purchase worthwhile.
Temple Of Love 92
Remixes. Vision Thing is good, I Was Wrong is nothing you couldn't do yourself with a wave editor.
Under The Gun
Alice 93, we've already discussed this.
Summer
A remix (supplied by Adam, along with Kleenex) and one of the other new songs, not decided yet.
So, leaving aside Temple 92 and UTG (the only real reason for them to exist was to promote compilations so B sides were bound to be pretty superfluous) it's not really a bad lot, y' know.

I met Andreas in '91; he was very nice.

Right On! I adore that song.

Shoot! I forgot about Poison Door, Blood Money and the immaculate Bury Me Deep. I site lack of new official material as the reason for my first comment.

Pre 85 split your had Bury Me Deep, which IMHO is boring and dreary. Post 85 you've got some great songs (You Could Be The One, Emma, Untitled, etc), but I get the feeling that they got a bit lazy, stealing old songs, borrowing from bootlegs and live recordings, poorly recorded rehashes of classics, pointless remixes etc etc.

i'm guessing that as JR was set to sing This Corrosion as the 2nd Sisterhood single, then Colours was always going to be the b-side
When Von decided to relaunch the Sisters he just redid the whole single, and it does make a nice link between the Sisterhood and the Sisters II
not sure about this laziness thing either? distant memory tells me that he was trying to p*ss of WEA again?
there is something somewhere about him wanting to put more songs out but they "WEA" wouldn't let him. Isn't there?
fuddled old head. Now what was the question

That's really been pretty standard for singles from any major label act for the past absolute yonks. Not a viable source of revenue anymore.
A lot of it may be down to Von's couldn't-be-arsedness/contempt for fans/lack of productivity (delete according to this weeks fit of apoplexy) but I do wonder how much of a hand WEA had in it.

I guess another way to look at is that pre FALAA their only recorded output were singles. Post 85 the singles main job was to promote the albums, and the albums would've taken up the lion's share of the effort.
I don't know if I buy into the "krap b-sides to p*ss off WEA" story. He's only gonna end up pissing off the record buying public more.

I don't think Von would lose too much sleep over that!!!

This was kind of the point I had in mind, so I agree completely! I mean, the sum total of NEW songs since 1985 are: You Could Be the One, Torch, and two throw-away instrumentals, Sandstorm and Untitled.
Before 1985, we had Floorshow, 1969, Body Electric, Gimme Shelter, Heartland, Afterhours, Train, On the Wire, and loads more top-rate stuff.
Okay, it's nice to get all the new remixes and rerecordings and live boots, but it pales in comparison to the original material we USED to get. Change your votes, now!

I like them all, but I'm more a pre 1985 girl as all those B sides are amongst my personal favourites. Blood Money & Bury Me Deep being top of the list.

Welcome to my world Angel
I still like the new stuff, if only we could hear studio recordings

Can I bring my Zimmer Frame, Angel? and if so can we get a cab to the place rather than walking over there, relying on public transport or over running Leeds?
EBG and proud

A cab sounds groovy to me
Zimmer frame? No need of that BB I'm sure!!
Hey I'm EBG too as BP pointed out.....I have a vision of a thread starting "Heartlanders Go Wild in Leeds".....with all our adventures en route to kidnap Von and hold him to ransom(any other ideas appreciated,I'm sure BP can think of a few
) till a new Sisters product is delivered to the universe........

I went to the fan club gig in Leeds years back, followed by an Indian after the gig.
I have never been so ill in my life as after that meal. Not happy memories.

I'll keep it short as I've managed to get this going into us all en masse ..rather than the b-sides...but I'm sure if we all did you'd have nice time, hin

That would have been Naffees then. Or the Tetleys beforehand.

I don't imagine Eldritch spends much time here these days. It's too full of shiney happy people.

Yep. Reckon that about sums it up for me.
