I think, if you look at it it's not just pretty practical it's also very cool and Blade Runner-ish. I say embrace it.

I like the idea of having something like that imbedded in your skin. They should do it for keys as well. I'm forever losing mine.

Mind you, getting mugged would end up being a much more unpleasant experience...
