AHAHAHA!!! My company party's tonight, too!
I don't foresee getting too smashed, though, because I know it's going to be a total yawn - just like most of the peeps I work with. Oh, well.

Strange. I've never been to such a party. Seems it's totally uncommon here. But I suppose I wouldn't participate even if it was common. No way. I think work is something that doesn't go well with casual, drinking-related meetings. Oh well. Depends who you work with? Maybe. Anyway, good luck Khepri II! I hope you manage not to trigger off another fight

I avoid anything that features the cretins I work with and drink. I know how I like to tell people what I think of their penny-ass, snivelling, petty minded, s**t hole of a department.
Just Say NO!

I too had to endure the 'works Christmas do' this evening....blimmin teachers! they must be the most boring people in the world to partee with......
I have to also attend my leaving do on Tuesday night, joy of joys.
Why don't we all do a swap next year, draw names out of a hat and attend each others 'do's'

Boring isn't the right word....giddy is probably the best description. They scamper round all the tables collecting all the tooters, paper hats and cracker toys to take back for the kids.....

Lemme just say this: Jello shots + co-workers = NO.

I have to attend mine in about a half an hour. I'm partially dreading it. I'm sure the restaurant/food/whatever will be fantastiK but the company?? The statement "I get paid to deal with you people. Beyond that...." comes to mind.
j0hn.......

I stuck with the Guinness whilst mayhem ruled all around me from the jelly crew. It was not a nice sight, still I have one up my sleeve regarding my (ahem) bosslady

Xmas parties are top - you can be as obnoxious as yer like to those who really have deserved it, then simply 'forget' it all the following morning.
Mine on Friday, I dare say there'll be the usual array of nurses and whatnot getting their ears licked.
Aftershock is a very lovely drink. As is Eggnog.

The rules, dear heartlanders, for all such events are:
If it's wet, drink it;
If it's dry, smoke it;
If it's got a pulse, f*ck it;
If it hasn't, score drugs off it.
