Bury Me Deep

Got any interesting thoughts on a set of lyrics? Any that don't involve the word "indeed"? Find yourself struggling to decipher all those obtuse references Von makes? Read "1959 And All That" and still no clearer? Postcards found lying in a skip around the back of the Chemists can be found here... Don't say you weren't warned.

Bury Me Deep is no more about sex than Home Of The Hitmen is about going to a brothel.

I suspect that the equivalent of a grade A in GCSE English (read: wanking between the lines) is up for grabs for the first person to sufficiently and tenuously twist the lyrical content of HOTH to be about whores.

Or maybe they should just become a music journalist? :innocent:

The logistics of being laid beside AND buried deep are worrying me. Surely these combined actions would require a large amount of soil, some sort or soil carrier and pulley system to activate the burying system whilst lying down.

Keeping this song about shagging is far less taxing on my poor brain.

While we're reviving an old thread...

It has never really occurred to me to use any kind of music as an accompaniment to sex, although I remember Vision Thing (the song) accidentally being involved once to positive effect. Wouldn't want to try the same thing with track 4 from that album, though.

I'm not getting shot out of that thing. What if he's masturbating? I'm liable to end up on the ceiling.

on a slightly related note, i've recently discovered that the bass on bury me deep, and on blood money, is actually a synth bass :o

relationships had gotten so awkward by the time they recorded the two b-sides for the single that craig refused to play on them. :urff:

they programmed the bass lines into the dok instead.

the start of a trend then? :!:

close but no cigar :D

information from sources close to the band... not at liberty to divulge further i'm afraid.

i'm not trying to be cryptic, but this one came from someone who would rather remain anonymous - to avoid being seen spreading gossip/stirring up old feelings/etc etc i assume :?

And when you listen back on them it's pretty obvious!

I always wondered why Blood Money didn't really sound like a traditional Sisters song as such. Now it all becomes clear.

Next we'll be hearing that some tracks have been pitched down to make Eldo's voice sound deeper. Which of course they haven't. That would be goth.

Bury me deep is beautiful, and I don't see why it couldn't be a song about being dead indeed. You don't have to be all macho about it.
I'm not a huge fan of Blood money, even though it's still okay 'cos it's a Sisters song, blah blah blah...

I think Bury me deep is a bloody awful song. The very worst song the sisters have done, a dirge, turgid goth nonsence, Eldritch doing a vomit inducing parody of himself, I could go on, but I wont. :)

Bury me deep is however a rather nice cocktail.

1.5 msr gin
0.5 msr scotch
0.5 msr lime juice
0.5 msr raspberry syrup
0.5 msr passion friut juice
3.0 msr lemonade

Shake and strain into an ice filled glass, then add the lemonade. :D
