Finally got my own Doktor up and running after months of tinkering. 486
laptop running DOS 3.3 + Sequencer Plus Gold into an Akai sampler for basic kick/snare/hat, another Akai for sundry tinkling noises and sniffs plus keyboard samples, plus a Peavey Spectrum Bass module for low-end stuff.

The snare runs to an SPX-90 for reverb and the Bass has another SPX-90 for mutations and filth.

Encouragement from hypothetically 'official' sources has lead to love of the old DOS sequencing software, although I'm still not sure whether the tracks are sequences of individual drum hits or longer samples of set drum patterns - there's some suspicious drum-competent flammed fills which I'd be interested to know were done.

Also, although you can drop in drum sample sets with ease, and AE has hinted at their source, I'd love to have the live drum samples used on the last tour....

I thought all drum samples were from Led Zeppelin IV and that it was mandatory to use them and no other.
