In Reading 91 Eldritch says before Amphetamine Logic "This is about how many k's in Elektra, always was and probably always will be." Obviously this is a reference to KKK, considering what he previously said about Elektra in NY 91 show, about a racist executive.
But why is he saying that particularly before Amphetamine Logic? Does that song have some references i am unfamiliar with? Or did he just say it before that for the fun of it?

Ahh, listening to Sisters bootlegs is sometimes like doing a puzzle. Ehh.

the Sisters obvious

I took K's as £1000's. You learn something new everyday :notworthy: :notworthy:

Didn't he blame elektra for not cracking the American market. I thought that was why he picked the Danny Fields interview to slag off an American record company

and wasn't it Elektra who moved to get Amphetamine Logic shortened to just Logic on the sleeve

Obvious until one happens to remember he never says anything that means one thing. :) Yes, i agree that's probably why he chose to introduce Logic with that line. Thanks.

May I just ask who the two people are on your Avatar? I'm intrigued!

I always thought he said "This one's called how many k's in illiterate".

Although the "it always was and probably always will be" makes far more sense in the context of Amphetamine Logic.

I believe it's a reference to a Public Enemy track called How many K's in Amerikkka & Electra's lack of support for the two bands touring together. But I don't know that it relates to that song particularly, he could have said it before any song.

I can't seem to find this song, or lyrics :(

Do you know what record it's on?

I think "How many K's..." was adapted from Ice Cube's album title "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted"

On the boot of New York 24 July 91 you can hear AE make several comments about Elektra's meddling in the Sisters-PE tour. One comment is along the lines of "Not a single arrest so far, not even I have been arrested despite my famous leisure pursuits" I think it was after the NY gig that elektra cancelled the tour funding.

Just a guess, It could be that logic was chosen for this intro to suggest that the record company has no concerns about promoting a band with a notorious reputation for drug use, but the mixing of black and white musicians/audiences causes such alarm that drastic measures need to be taken
