I'm a huge Sisters fan! I did a song with Andrew [Eldritch] for a Best of Sisters record back in '94. I called him because I wanted him to work on my record originally. I went out to Germany. He lives in a cave (laughs) out in Hamburg. And he and I wrote some stuff and nothing really worked. But there was a song that I brought over that he really liked. He asked if I was going to use it for my record and, since I couldn't get anybody excited about it, it was really strange and dark, and he said, well, I want to do it. Why don't we sing it? It was called "Under The Gun" and we sang it together for the Best Of Sisters album.
Those guys have been pretty low profile too, now for a while.
I know. Have they done anything lately? I lost touch with them the last couple of years. Have they put anything out?
I haven't heard of anything. Maybe they should get a group of miners together and search all the caves.
Oh, that's bad! (Laughs.)

Curiously, she fails to get the year correct!
'93, '94 - I guess it all blurs when you're living the rock 'n' roll lifestyle.

That's awfully nice of you.
You are a gentleman (?) and a scholar.
Let me know if/when you need the favour returned.

???????????????????????
I always understood that at no time did Von 'work with' Terri Nunn.
I read somewhere that Von simply stumbled across an old Berlin track (Which, apparently, to this day has never been released in the UK), liked it, and recorded his vocals over it. (Along with Adam Pearson, who made his Sisters recording debut by playing guitar over it.)
So did Terri and Von actually meet up and collaborate? If so, how did it come about?

The song is similar to the track Two Worlds Apart (Japanese release only) in as much as the music although the drums are slightly different, some of the keyboards have been removed/redone and a guitar track has been addded. The vocals were redone and new lyrics added to the verses. The chorus lyrics were changed slightly. Some of the original backing vocals have been removed as well.
The vocals do sound as if they have been re-recorded (although my copy of the Two Worlds Apart is not great quality). The original vocals sound more "smokey" while the Under The Gun vocals are much more powerful sounding.
The original song is a lot more laid back although it seems to be at the same tempo while Under The Gun is a little more in your face.
She appeared in the video for Under The Gun as well don't forget so I guess they did actually meet!
Just been listening to both version while I've been writing this. Everytime I listen to Under The Gun I hear something new deep in the mix. It is still one of my favourite Sisters songs.

UTG is much maligned IMO.

yeah, i quite like it too!
i remember reading and seeing an interview where von said something similar to cellthree and black shuck's version of stuff!
but then we all know andy's reputation for twisting reality and "adapting" events for interviews...

It's a shame that Gary Marx wasn't in Sisters in Floodland neither in ASCOOB times - we have no reliable source of information about all those Patsy and Terri stories

Apparently the video was filmed
after the single was released -
http://www.myheartland.co.uk/gallery/de ... age_id=343 (see "Pull the Trigger" & "Anybody Out There?") I think Shucky is right, Terri just did a "Patsy" when it came to the video shoot!
And just found this old posting -

I think they met long enough for a shag, wich later prompted Von to claim that he's slept with all the girls in Berlin. That talk of the cave in Hamburg's got sex written all over it.

Perhaps someone should advise Ms Nunn of the title of Von's latest composition?
