Diana ...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

... does anyone care?

Pampered floozy dies in road crash. So what? Impact on day-to-day life equals f**k-all-squared, IMHO.

And yes, I'm in a bad mood.

Care? No, not really. It's all a bit previous and well past its sell by date. Keeps the conspiracy theorists, corner shop keepers and tabloids in a job I suppose.

The day of her funeral, me and Mrs markfiend went to the supermarket, thinking "oh, at least it'll be quiet". They only **** shut it "as a mark of respect". WTF?

That day was the most nauseating example of mass hysteria I've ever seen. I remember seeing some dweeb saying that the death of Diana had affected him more than the death of his own mother

For the record im not Pro or anti royal, i think just an apathtic like most, but i wouldnt wish the woman dead.
That said, perhaps they should let it go from the public eye now, if the people involved want to pursue it then thats up to them, its just that the pages are taken up with this stuff and could probably be filled with column inches about more needy people that we should not be apathetic towards.

It's taking up space that could be filled with reports about Jason Donovan or MP:s in football attire.

I felt exactly the same way. I remember people being PROUD of the fact that it meant more to them than their own family.

The day they brought her body back I was in a pub with a friend & they had a big screen up to show the proceedings.

Luckily I found Crash by the Primitives on the jukebox.

I thought it was an excellent soundtrack choice.

On the day of her funeral I felt ashamed that the images were going around the world & everyone would think we were all like that.

And (unforgivably) they cancelled the football!

now don't get me started....ooops too late.

now, the (not very) mighty port vale don't often grace live television due to their (mostly deserved) lowly league status. however, on that fine sunday morning some six and a bit years ago i awoke expectantly. sky sports were to show port vale vs crewe at 12 o'clock. my seat in the pub was booked weeks in advance. the landlord had promised to turn on the big screen. it was to be a fine day indeed.

and then some stupid, rich bitch died in a car crash in paris. all football was instantly cancelled (i still believe this was the cause of at least half the male population's grief over the next few days). and obviously sky are no longer interested in the vale-alex clash when it's eventually played on a wet wednesday night.

i've never forgiven henri paul, the fa, the league, sky television or the royal bloody family.

And since they were safely packed off to boarding school, and had a large posse of servants to ensure that parents never really had to deal with them, was that the shattering blow it may have been for you or I?

Not trying to be heartless (but succeeding effortlessly as usual, I suspect), but millions of people die. Some of them even contribute a bit more than being a whiney, self-indulgent, tax-dodging clotheshorse first. Why bother with this one.

Even my own miserable local rag has a story about her today. Very depressed.

It's probably more convenient just to draw the line at vulgarities instead of censoring nouns at random.

Dunno. Surely nothing to do with the fact that QB has changed his post rank to 'Narrow BASTARD Overlord'?
