I !@#$% HATE Winter!!!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

08th 17/28 Fine. Wind: Fresh southeasterly.
09th 17/23 Fine, morning cloudy areas. Wind: Fresh southwesterly.
10th 16/24 Fine, cloud on mountain. Wind: Strong southeasterly.
11th 16/29 Fine. Wind: Moderate southeasterly.
12th 17/24 Partly cloudy, morning fog patches. Wind: Fresh northwesterly.
those are the min/max temps in degrees C.

Thanks for the offer, but if I go outside I might get all sweaty, it's kinda humid today (which is unusual in these parts). I'm sure the Aussies on this board are having much better weather than me.

I'm a July baby so after the xmas festivities I tend to go all SAD and hibernate waiting for the first green shoots of spring to appear and then I know it's going to get better. And warmer. :D

Wear a duvet?! :urff: Nowt as queer as northern folk ...

I tend to be angry most of the year round and as a result quite warm.

Not quite sure if the Slumberland Goth look will catch on but worth a shot. With a nailgun?

well i hate to be contrary (no, really, i do), but i LOVE winter. i could go on forever but the most important reason is that i get to wear my ridiculously expensive cashmere overcoat everyday. and we get lots of fog. and it's another excuse to just sit in the pub all day. and there's less overweight women exposing their flabby midriffs to the world. and the temperature in our non-air-conditioned office is (almost) bearable. and...well, like i said, there's lots of reasons.

now stop whining and hal - you have my sympathies....

Move to Phoenix. It's either warm or HOT. You will never have to worry about it being cold, and can throw away all your heavy coats!

Just be warned, once you return to cold weather....it will utterly kill you! I had a plate in my ankle and it used to freeze me like a SOB. Had it removed obviously!

Yeah, right - your "winter" temperatures tend to hover around 40F, right?

oooh, farenheit. how quaint! on a good day we go sub-zero c which is 32f if my memory serves. believe me though i'd love to live somewhere that has real winters. only problem is most of those kind of places seem to go to the other extreme in summer which i would hate. ho hum, guess i'll have to stick to good old blighty and our (mostly) sensible weather...
