My next car will be a Chevrolet Caprice Estate, bone white with wood panels. You know, the kind that's half a mile long and looks like something from a Chevy Chase movie. I love them.

I've been driving rentals since I sold my first and only car, a wonderful, friendly little VW Golf.

I was hoping this would be a topic about Gary Numan...
Car I want next is a yellow VW Beetle. I'm gonna spray the transformers 'Autobot' logo on the bonnet, just like the Transformer 'Bumblebee'.

I'll be surprised if anyone else knows what the f**k I'm talking about.

Car related question - new Land Rover telly ad, what is the music, I've been hearing that tune for years and I've still never found out who the hell it is?
It's in a house stylee, with a 'whooooot, whooooot, whooooot, whooooot' noise.

There's a very useful site for this type of question called Commercial Breaks & Beats ( can't remember if it's .co.uk or what so just stick it in Google). Saves getting driven mad when you half recognise something but can't put a name to it as well.

I have a four-year old Honda Civic, in a funny metallic green. It's fine, but it's a 3-door, with a titchy boot. Minichris can no longer be adequately escorted around the place in it, so it's curtains. I'm trying very hard to NOT buy an estate car, or a p****e-carrier. Terrible things. Can anyone recommend a hatchback that you can actually get a largish pram AND a suitcase, or pram AND your shopping, into the boot of? We're considering a Renault Laguna, but it seems odd to be considering cars purely in terms of boot (trunk) dimensions...

By the way, Vicus, you rock! I used to spend many a happy hour in the mobile library that used to visit my estate. Every week, I'd come and get my ten books, and eagerly wait for the next visit... Ah, the joys of being seven...

one of ours is a CRV, not quite a ppl carrier and nice to drive. Mine is a Mazda Mx something. Anyway too small for a small child

but two friends transport kids around in Pugot 309's without any probs. Room for expansion too

Vicus, that is indeed a very cool vocation :notworthy: :notworthy:
