March Violets

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Did anyone know that Tom Ashton from the Violets toured with the Sisters in 1983? Or is that a well known fact? (Sorry I just joined this forum today!)

Just realised that Quiff Boy has put a bit on the "Where are they now?" section. Should have looked first, sorry! Anywayz, found out recently that my cousin Tom was actually in the March Violets after years of being told by my family "Your cousin Tom's bands never got anywhere Elizabeth." :D

Well I never knew that. I guess that was after Ben Gunn left the band?

Btw, happy birthday! :)

You mean Tom was actually playing in[/b] the band??? If so, more details please.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Ah ha!!! (Sorry, couldn't resist)

It would prolly have been after Ben Gunn left then. More Sisters trivia unearthed, cheers to everyone!
