Why is it that I'm suddenly getting pop-up ads when I visit this website?
They're very infrequent, but so far I've had
*one imploring me to Visit wales (Has Andythegoth been tampering with the site??!)
*one inviting me to buy 4 DVDs for the price of one, and
*one that was just gobbledygook (my favourite word).
What's going on, QB? something to do with your server?
I dread to see the day when Heartlanders will be bombarded with ads to buy the latest Gareth Gates/Peter Andre CD.

It's probably 'exit' popups from the site you were viewing before HL. Man I hate it when they do that...

BS
try installig the google search bar.
it's a tiny wee prog, dead easy to set up and it has a popup block facility, which is really easy to turn on /off . best of all it's 100% free
just be careful to check the box that says
"i want records of everywhere i've been, sent back in a report, which will be indiviually poured over in search of people who surf the web for subversive materials such as shakin' stevens, or crowded house fansites"

@ bs: if you've recently got broadband or something it might be that you're getting popup spam through that?
if so, i would install some kind of firewall software such as zone alarm or norton personal firewall...

quick note...
adaware - use it!!! 448 trace tracking files found on my pc...
google toolbar - installs a few of its own, don;t use it...
best advice run moxilla or opera...kills everything.

www.avantbrowser.com for trouble-free ad-blocking browsing.
It's an addon to IE with loads more options, tweaks, etc.
I couldn't do without it.
