Technically, pedantically and downright annoyingly, shouldn't the neighbours of the beast be at 664 and 668? I'll allow 666a, possibly.

Interesting factoid number 93:

The sequel to Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's Good Omens was going to be called 668 The Neighbour Of The Beast.

But they never got round to writing it :?

Here's a crazy number for you
http://yiri.maniac.com/23.html

a few snippets if you ca'nt be arsed reading it all :

23 is the first prime number in which both digits are prime numbers and add up to another prime number.

It takes 23 seconds for blood to circulate through the human body.

On average every 23rd wave crashing to shore is twice as large as the average wave.

The axis of the planet Earth is 23.5 degrees.

December 23, 2012 - The date the Mayans believed the world will end. Hence why they werereally obsessed with time and it's observance.

April 23; More reported UFO sightings on this day than any other day of the year. This is the flapday of the year.

The most frequent numbers in the Book of Revelations are 4 (the powerful beasts), 7 (seven seals, seven churches, etc.), and 12 (12 apostles, etc.). 4+7+12=23!

Kurt Cobain; Born 1967: 1+9+6+7=23. Died 1994: 1+9+9+4=23.

In the epic cartoon Yellow Submarine the Blue Meenies are comprised of a wild pack of destructive anti-music villains. Among them is a character named the Butterfly Stomper (butterfly being a symbol of transformation). The Butterfly Stomper is one who destroys all things of beauty. On his shirt is the number 23... and you know what that means.

Hiroshima was bombed on August 6, 1945 (8+6+4+5=23).

Adolf Hitler organized the National Socialist Congress on January 23. On November 23 he tried to seize power.

It's all a load of cobblers really, I reckon it's a conspiracy theory made up by the followers of the number 32 :D :urff: :D

@ Steve 303

Its the number of "God Head" AFAIK - it depends on your views of "Cabalistic/Rosecrutian" theology.

I should point out that I am not strongly religious. I am very Anti-Christian/Catholic - for reasons I do not want to go into as I have no wish to offend anyone here.

The significance for me of "777" is do with the legacy of the "Religion" formed and practiced by Alistair Crowley and his followers / adepts.

I have been given many opportunities over the years to join/believe in "Alternative" Religion! - I was drawn towards "Wicca" (Pagan) for many years but always found it too "White/Nice". There was no balance.

I feel there must be equal black/white - Good / Evil within a religion for it to "Work" - The hours of Light and Day are equal afterall!

I do know what people think about "Crowley" - and your right - many of his Writings and Works were only produced to fund his lifestyle / drug addictions.

The lesser known fact is that there is a REAL theology behind his work which does exist and could be said to "work", and I know followers of this "doctrine". And NO they are not a bunch of Baby-Eating, Goat Killing, Satanic "Devil Worshipers"!

The "Kabbalah" is included in this "Doctrine" along with other "Ideals" !

At this time I dont feel "Strongly" enough to follow one particuar "path"

Have I "quelled your curiosity" or do you want More (Que 'Piano Intro') ;-)

Cr@p. I was afraid you were going to bring up Crowley. I'll not comment further. :von:

Oh, Mr Crowley. Do what thou wilt etc....
I am fascinated by him, partly due to his connection with Leamington Spa. He was born here.

I was, however, unaware, of this connection.

As an aside, I once asked in Leamington library for a copy of Magik and was refused until I told them I was doing a college project when it was fetched from under lock and key. It is kept in a safe due to it being of local interest. There you go.
