Hi all ill people.
I just wonder, how many Heartlanders have to take medics on a daily basis? I can see around me, friends and others that have to take medics every day for differnt reasons. Is it an age thing (me 36)?
I have to take one pill every morning for high bloodpressure, and 2 every night for high colestorole (spell). I feel like a really old sick man
Whatever. Just feeling lonley and bored here

Fine. Then my diagnosis is to up the dosage on the alcohol and fags and forget the little pills.

When I absolutely Have to, Prilosec. It's got vile side effects, and I mean really vile
so I try to limit that, but sometimes I just have to. It's a one a day thing.
Otherwise, 2x's daily pepcid ac for my very very tender stomach! And Smooth Dissolve Tums...and they're actually very yummy.

Excluding the 10 - 20 Marlboro Lights and several Units of Alcohol a day.
I "Need" to daily injest at least 1, if not 2 cans of "Diet Coke" - its a "Aspartame" addiction thing - bloody FDA!
I also take an decent A -Z vitamin/mineral supplement and at the moment I am prescribed 30MG a day mild "Anti - Depressent" I dont wish to state "Why" - Its a "Living in Barry" thing

No I don't mind. I have this condition called acid reflux disease. It's when the esophagus (sp?) muscle gets weakend and acid comes out of your stomach there. The most common sypmptom is heartburn, but that's not what I get. I get a racking cough and my lips go numb. I'm not allowed a whole range of foods, wine, chocolate, good red sauce for pasta.. But typically it's stress that brings it on for me ...big time.

Moi aussi. Times two on weekend nights. (Not the age of course, although that's often how I feel the next morning). Plus 3 x 600mg ibuprofen a day for my dodgy back.

I don't take anything, but I do work in a chemist and it's frightening to see the amount of things some people take. Especially when most of them are mental old people with Parkinson's being given loads of dopamine-level changing type medication and they don't have a clue how to take it or what they're taking it for!! It beats the s**t outta me........but the docs always right NOT(long story)

Fags (but not 20 a day, not even close), weed (from time to time) - very good for the BP, and grog - none of which stop my skin falling off (but I DID stay out in the sun too long in Cyprus, on the one sunny day
)
That sounds pretty grim, Doomie.
Working in a hospital does tend to put you off necking tons of pills, unless you're at a festival of course.

Asthma inhalers (but this has not affected my Marlboro Heavy intake) and some very nasty painkillers and anti-inflammatories for arthritis.
I try not to take the painkillers every day as they can be habit forming apparently. Although how anyone can get hooked on nausea & vertigo is beyond me.
