RAH

Had a meeting in Kensington yesterday. Trundled over from Farringdon on the Circle Line to High St Ken and was 20mins early. Found the hotel were the meet was taking place and suddenly realised where I was. Crossed into Hyde Park, wandered down Kensington Gore and there it was in all its glory. The Royal Albert Hall. Despite working in London I hadn't been back there for nearly 19 Years. Spiritual? Poignant? A sense of belonging? A sense of loss? Probably a combination of all and more. What am I trying to say? Dunno. The ghosts of my life ...

@ QB: This isn't in Sisters chat because I'm wise enough to realise that within three posts, or less, it will have morphed into a conversation about nude skate-boarding nuns.

Disgraceful beahviour for ladies of the church. They could do themselves an injury.

skating in the nude is a very dangerous hobby. On the upside it eliminates the possibility of your beltbuckle digging into your pubes when you fall.

You mean you were THERE THEN? Did you get your hair in front of the camera?

Don't think so as I'm a mere 5'ft 8" plus all those very tall pyramid builders used to scare the hell out of me so I stayed well clear of them. Of to the left of stage on Poncho's side as opposed to Glitter Jacket.

Thank you for reminding me of when I had hair. Folicles are just dust ...

oi! you're both in danger of steering this thread back on topic. More naked nuns on skateboards, less RAH nonsense.

I remember skate boards first time around I'll have you know. None of this namby-pamby crash hats and elbow/knee pads. If you fell off and broke a leg or fractured your skull you just dusted yourself down and jumped back on board. Kids today ...

skateboard - one word

yes, I also moan about the current state of the sport. I skated almost everyday from when I was 12 until my early 20s when life and bad knees finally caught up.

Great fun, pity about the current culture. And the belt buckle in the pubes, that hurt like you won't believe.

I always recommened that you took your marble collection out of your front jeans pockets as well. A fall impacting on the marbles was very similar to being kicked in the balls. But not as much fun. :urff:
