will Eldritch ever declare the death of TSOM?

IF Eldritch decides to abolish TSOM completely (horrible thought), will he let us (the fans) know that or not? what do you think?

Six words: not a fecking chance in hell!!! Would YOU do that??? I mean.. here's this has been thing still paying your bills.. people still buying bootlegs, going to gigs ... merely out of hoping/wishing that ONE day they will get to see them recapture their old glory. Can you imagine what is going to happen when he declares their hope to be futile??? My guess is that Von is going to keep us on hold for another 10 years.... tries to cash in on the new popularity of anything Goth related... build up a nice pension.. and then dies from 30 years of malnutrition, too much vodka and drugs and having 50 fags an hour...nice way to go... but still... If you can pull it off... why not? I know I would.

Just to say that i don't listen to Sisters in the hopes of "see them recpture their old glory". Couldn't give a toss about their old glory, like them fine where they are.

Two things... when I was referring to "their old glory".... first of all... I for one would like to see them releasing records again..... maybe play giant stadiums... Von's masterplan kicking in... To me they still are a band with a huge potential... they (to me) just need a good kick in the butt... The thing is... there's still a hardcore fanbase out there... but that fanbase doesn't consist of millions of people.. let alone that they are interested in bootleg number 4000 or something.. Second of all...Most people on this forum are more than your "average" Sisters fans.... From personal experience... there aren't that many people out there who own more than 100, 200, or more Sisters items.. at least not over here.. Don't get me wrong... I still HOPE they will release a stonking new album ONE day.... but I for one am not convinced that they actually will... Which is ok for ME.. as I don't mind collecting the gigs from the past and stuff... but when you look at the average guy/girl out there... most of them won't be interested in talking about just how great they played that one night back in 1984...

Oh, Thrash....you really do sometimes just walk into these things, don't you? Except I'm in a good mood and you're a splendid chap.
So all I'll say is that I'm nearly as old as you and I used to look better than I do now, especially in bright light. Just be thankful that some other (not quite as pleasant) heartlanders didn't get here first.
Hope the Easter Bunny brings you everything you like.

Sooner or later Von is going to run low on vodka, fags and cat food and then it'll be time to play a few festivals in Europe.
Am I growing cynical?

At this time, approaching Easter Sunday, anyone believe in a resurrection?
Doesn't look like it.

To rip off Terry Pratchett:
"The fans didn't deny Eldritch and the Sisters - they knew they existed.
It was just believing in them was like putting your faith in the milkman."

Announce the end? Doubtful.
Clearly, he looks like he's having at least some fun up there on stage. And at least there's been actual mention of meeting with record companies, even if it's 'their fault' they don't want them (er, maybe the material isn't worth what they're asking.)
But yes, bills to pay, etc. The Sisters are a 'live concern'. I mean, at least we have that. They'er kind of alive, which is more than people could say for long silent and dead bands like Guns 'n' Roses or whomever. We have bootlegs, we can (travel to) see them play live. We can live vicariously through the Sisters tour site when we can't see them in Poland or wherever, we can read and re-read interesting interviews, blah blah blah.
Eldo thinks they're still a major label band, obviously the major labels disagree, and he's unwilling to get in bed with an incompetent record label again, so there you go. They literally need a believer in the industry who can re-mold them and make them bigger. At least a little bigger. IF they can still sell out shows in the UK and in Europe, there's some hope for them. But at this point, it would almost be like re-breaking America, if they don't get over here soon to tour...
We can still believe. For better or worse.

Don't see why that shouldn't prove to be the case. After all, Half Man Half Biscuit do have a tendency to tour just before season ticket renewal time.
But I don't care what Von's reasons are, so long as he blimmin well plays something!
Sometime.
Soon.

I wouldn't say Guns 'n' Roses were a real band.
