Another mislabelled gig...

Anyone help me with this one?

I had it down as the Trojan Horse gig 26-05-84, but checking Hals site, it doesn't appear to be that one unless my copy is missing some tracks.

The track listing is (in brackets is Andrews comments after the songs):

1. Burn (thanks...uh huh....Heartland...)
2. Heartland (thank you...ahh...)
3. Body And Soul (thanks...yeah, me too...these are very expensive new ones...)
4. Anaconda
5. Walk Away (That's not so bad is it?)
6. Emma (thanks...all right...Floorshow)
7. Floorshow (ahh..) Possibly a break there then (Adrenochrome)
8. Adrenochrome (you just have to forgive us for just playing the songs as our Dutch isn't what it should be...I know you're not Dutch...I can tell, I wonder how I could tell? You've got Scottish written all over your bum...Alice)
9. Alice (Body Electric...)
10. Body Electric (Dead Man...) They play the first couple of bars of Temple (no way...that was cruel, sorry about that. It's his birthday so he's gotta be indulged you understand)
11. Gimme Shelter
12. Sister Ray

Points of note:

Sound like it is from the soundboard. Very clear guitar and little distortion on the drums plus you can hear the awful tom tom effects as well. Clean vocals.

Walk Away is the original lyrics version.
A stonking version of Sister Ray.

I know it's not the Melkweg gig as I have that, but there were 3 other Dutch gigs after that, but I haven't got them to compare.

As always, any help would be appreciated!

Oh, one more thing, on the Melkweg gig, is Walk Away cut short? My track is only about 38 secs.

Thanks!

"got Scottish written all over your bum"

"Very clear guitar and little distortion on the drums plus you can hear the awful tom tom effects as well"

"Walk Away is the original lyrics version.

i've got that somewhere. is it not the trojan horse then? :o

I would reckon yours is right , as Halls includes "A rock and a Hard Place" and "Marian" both of which didnt turn up live untill around the Black October tour.

Could be wrong though!

The "Trojan Horse" I have (weeded from Big Si) is the same setlist as yours Ce||Three; can't vouch for the in-between track comments as I don't have the CD with me at the moment.

I'd go with PIB's tracklist
Burn, Heartland, Body&Soul, Anaconda, Walk Away, Emma, Floorshow, Adrenochrome, Alice, Body Electric, Gimme Shelter, Sister Ray
Sometimes my databases has some problems, particularly with gigs with an ID of about 30 - 40.

Yeah, that's deffo the Live In The Trojan Horse LP, complete with rather nice blue cover, the kind that flatters Von. One can only assume that it's from that gig (paard Van Trojee, Den Haag, blahdeblah).

Top boot - one of my first, way back. :)

Yay, at least that's sorted out! Thanks everyone!

How about the Melkweg question? "Is Walk Away cut short? My track is only about 38 secs."
