Lord of the Rings. Dr. Who. Star Trek. Blake's Seven. Star Wars. Reminds me of the sixth form when the Maths, Physics and Chemistry lot made translating Virgil's Aeneid Book VI seem interesting by comparison.

Virgil's Aeneid is enough in itself.
I LOVE that book. I like it more than the Illiad or the Odyssey.

The Aeneas & Dido Love Story :) read it in Latin in School ... I'd rate the Iliad higher because Classical Greek beats Latin anytime in sheer beauty :)

Cool. Spent a chunk of last summer in Iceland, including a bit of a trek around the area where Njal's Saga is set. Very beautiful.

Oh yes.

Postgate & Firmin unsurpassed.

For emotional effect, Oliver Postgate's voice is only surpassed by one other for me...

@ Burn

I already got a    pm regarding our chat.

So I am going to make a public service announcement in the hope that I don't get any more such pm's from concerned friends with  in them.

Burn and I are friends outside of this here establishment. We have been friends for a long time. Hence he can say things to me and he does say things to me (because he's know he can get away with it  ), that other HL members wouldn't dare say. That's why I am always scolding him..Bad Dog~!

End of announcement.

:notworthy: excellent choice.
Doctor Who is undoubtably the best sci-fi ever though. it's kind of how i'd like the world to be...
oh, and an honorable mention to Red Dwarf. Because i tend to prefer my sci-fi with a good dose of humour on the side.
