Shadow Of The Sun... hmmm?

'Shadow of the sun' always suggests to me that the sun is casting a shadow, therefore, there is something brighter, causing the sun to be a shadow.

Maybe Kirkstall's just so brilliant, I dunno.

Wrong. The sun it's self casts no shadow...until sunklight hits an object, like a rock, tree, flower, house etc. The object blocks the sun, thus casting A Shadow.

BB you are thinking far to hard on a Sunday Evening...I oughtn't be here at all. but for Burn and ....LOL

Isn't that pub next to the Railway Viaduct on Kirkstall Road called the Sun?

Went in one lazy sunny day to buy one to drink out the back while Junior played on the little park there. I did have Mrs T to hold my hand though. Definitely one of those places that inspired From Dusk Til Dawn.

gee guys...that sounds like a fun place to take kids Harry...

seriously tho...the rising sun is a cool name for a boozer...somehow it seems to pass over the obvious and take the avarage punter to a place less well known...

is it in any tourist guides to the north?... :innocent:

As I've said elsewhere, I'm a firm believer in a catholic education.
