I have only being twice to a Gig and I always stood left in front of the stage.
Do you guys really want to stand someplace or doesn’t it matter?

At my first (and last) one (Glasgow 2003) I was Centre Stage. At one point held the microphone stand over my head. I could have reached up and pulled him into the mosh pit

Coventry, 1985. Front left. Did not bleed from ears, but deaf for a week.
Royal Albert Hall. 1985. In the Gods, godawful sound.
Wembley arena, 1990. Somewhere at the back.
Barcelona, 2004. I'm waiting...

Either at the front or back at the mixing desk, depending on what mood I´m in and what gear I have with me

For the first night in Leeds last year, I stood right at the back, with my back to the wall.

Have I mentioned already that the gig was a huge letdown? oh, I have? OK, I won't mention it again.

As near to the front as possible, without impending the view.

As near to the back as possible: it becomes very difficult to find one's footing the nearer the front one goes.

Not telling, in case someone tries to stand there sometime.

Obviously not in the near future.

'Small' gig - in the pit.

'Big' gig - quite far back to admire the lightshow.

Sorted every time.

Nope it was me if you where in Belgium.

I have a simple question.
Do you see anything when you stand at the back? Even if you stand in front the smoke is blinding everything.

If it's a big gig, then yes, you see the 'Bladerunner on LSD' lightshow in all its glory. Well worth it.

If it's a small gig, you see f**k all period. Which is why it makes sense to dive into the mosh.

Berlin last year - front right, M'era Luna 2002 - maybe row 5 or something.

I d like to stand inthe midle of the first row, but normally
it doesnt work and i stand like fourth row left or rightt ( i come very early
to a sisters gig and then i must go to the toilet...)

As far away from the p*ssed up tw*t we were next to at the Forum last year. Going to a gig and standing there going "aaaaaaeeeeeeeuuurrgghhh" isn't an endearing quality. All though he did shout "let's do The Sisters of MERcy-aaaaa" a few times, which was quite funny.

But only quite.

Bristol last year - behind the desk, along with everyone shouting that they couldnt hear the vocals.

in the old days, when I was young I seem to remeber they did tour indeed....then I usually was somewhere at the third row in the middle....
