Apologies for asking old questions (I looked for the previous thread but got bored on page 8), but are there any decent free programs that do the above.

The standard version is free for non-commercial use

Spyware Blaster as well is very useful. Stops the stuff from installing in the first place:

try www.snapfiles.com (used to be www.webattack.com) and in the freeware section you'll find what you're after :)

I've now got ad-aware and spyblaster installed, and funnily enough my PC seems to work a bit quicker. Fancy that.

http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/index.html worked for me. does anyone get that really annoying 'internet optimizer' thing instead of an error page? this fixes it :D
