Anyone fancy going to Berlin to watch Rammstein on their soon to be announced tour? Be a bit like watching The Sisters in Leeds, only with more fire.

If you can view the DVD Live Aus Berlin, it might give you a taste of the action to come.
What were those massive sombreros all about?

The sombreros WERE spectacularly bizarre. Why wear flamethrower masks when you can wear an oversized sombrero?

A few of us saw the band at Manc Apollo in 2002 - quite simply THE best gig I've ever been to. Not just the pyrotechnics, impressive (and hot) though they were, but the sound and performance, and the fact that a rammed (arf) Apollo sung along wildly and (vaguely)coherently to every German word. It helps of course that they wrote Mutter, Rammstein and Ich Will. And it helped our vacuous female friends that the guitarist 'had a nice ass'. Hmmm.

SO, no idea when the gig will be, but they're going to be announced soon. The only plan so far is...fly to Berlin in the morning, get drunk, go to gig, fly back following day. What could be easier?

About 18 months to 2 years ago, a mate at work said "Rammestein are on at the Garage tomorrow night fancy it"?
Answer, No :(

Reasons
1. - very busy at work (couldn't take a morning off, hadn't booked in advance))
2. - The Glasgow Garage is way too tiny for a band like Rammestein!

Wrong answer, Red. Sounds like time to atone for your error. 8)

:( musta taken the righthand path that day Dave, sorry.

My rationale was this :-
Some bands need to be seen at a particular venue.

Rammestein = stadium spectacle.
Glasgow Garage = small, yet excellent venue, but not right for those German maniacs.

I will be 46 this August.
