Live i would agree to that, because no other band creates such a powerful and strong sound (APart from that Eldritch howls sometimes live). But if you look at the lyrics, the song quality and the albums out, I would say the best band in the world are the manic street preachers. And what do you think about that??

Live ? ide say definately not... i never saw them pre 97 mind you so there is that

But seriously, nobody wants to be blown away buy the Sisters live more than i do but im afraid they just never did it for me.... it just felt like going through the motions.

The Chameleons live take a lot of beating......and they're NOT even me bestist band - but I don't know whether its because there are so many Wishvillers that go and have a perfectly FANTASTIC time with each other (oo-er)

For raw emotion Joe Strummer( And the Clash) live when his in full flow is a joy to behold

The Pixies most certainly in 1987 were mind-blowing

Faithless at Rock City in...1999 (?) were incredible, the whole crowd were really up for it

Leftfield - Sheffield erm might have been Octagon prolly 1999 again left me speechless and unable to stand unaided, the bass levels were almost on a par with Mentalist at the Witchwood Quiffy ;D

Ramones at Rock City in 1985/6 were always gonna be fine I was at a very low point and they ALWAYS make me smile

Dead Kennedys - Nottingham Boat Club 1981 very explosive Jello Biafra has a way of attracting your attention by just standing there

Oh god I'm rambling......nope can't put my finger on any one band but am sorry to say Sisters aren't up there..I'll ask Gaz he saw em LOADS of times in the mid eighties

Live, hmmm, I've seen em' do some absolute stonkers, and some absolute stinkers (not many), nowt to touch Public Enemy 91 as yet though... As far as the whole package goes, there's no other band I'm trying to get rid of all my cash this summer to go and see, so I guess they must be my fave

Is any band the best band on the planet? You could probably write a major dialectic on this but now's not the time.
For all Eldritch's lack of singing ability, he's undoubtedly one of the top performers in this circus we call rock'n'roll.
Live, they are definitely my favourite band, which is why I always end up going the length of Britain to see them.
On vinyl, CD, whatever, they are probably my favourite band as well.
Eldritch is certainly one of my favourite lyricists, along with Tori Amos.
Says something to me about my life, which in turn probably says something about my life.

lyrically, well yeah the Sisters and most of his influences

musically, well that jus' depends how I'm feeling that day

I'm with Erudite, there is no best band in the planet, there is only the one you like most.
With 6 billion people it would be hard to please every single one. :von:

Probably THE best live act you can find these days.
