in the light of
this post i have amended all your profiles and set all your email addresses to not display in posts.
this will mean they are hidden from view by all users except forum moderators and admins.
this should help stop spam & virus rubbish from finding your details...
you are free to edit your profile and set it back to "Always show your Email Address". my change was a one-off setting that altered the database.

You had better make that "hidden from view by all users except admins".

who've you got in mind?
actually, some boards allow you to set up an "ignore list" dont they? (does wishville?) they also have "buddy lists" dont they? what the hell are they?
there is an add-on for this board to do that kind of stuff but i'm not sure i like the idea of it. i'd rather everyone saw everyone else's posts, even if they are being wankers

I think you should be responsible for the content of your posts, which means that everyone should be able to see what you have done, good or bad. Ignore lists aren’t the way forward: thought, consideration and tolerance are.
C**ts.

At Cultweb the ignore function is for pm's. If you don't want to get pm's from a particular member, you place that person on your ignore list.

Does that prevent the offender sending the offendee an apology?

Yes it would. But I've only got one person on my ignore list, and his apology would not be welcome.

Someone will ask if that statement is consistent with having members logon as hidden.

their name is still put against the post, even if they post it while hidden
