Funny, the photo makes him look like the spitting image of one of those Oasis chappies - always wondered what they were up to now

I suppose it is, but seemed kind of appropriate in a post ironic way -
oops, heading up the path of self importance as well...must be too long staring at the same HTML...

Paul McCartney and Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page were among artists that had been lined up to testify against him in court had he not pleaded guilty.
what the hell. why would they bother testifying? "oh yeah. that was the guy in the third row with the recorder down his pants"

Never understood the argument that live boots hurt the music industry. Never knew anyone to buy one who didn't already have everything they could get by the band in question anyway.

Mmmmm, but we're talking about the music industry here, so such trifling matters as reason and logic can go right out the window.

Isn't it more to do with the fact that he's made a sh!tload of money on the back of other people's talents? I'd have sued the b@stard as well! If he'd been giving them away/ covering his costs then fair enough.

the problem is:
more popular artist - more problems with bootlegs

the other hand:
the one who earning his daily money from others people brainwork, you have to consider that is quite illegal AND unfair.

have a look at: http://www.sharingthegroove.org - this the right policy

Quote "Police got a taste of Purseglove's prolific piracy when they raided his home and two other premises in London in June 2002 and recovered 28,000 bootleg CDs with a retail value of 500,000 pounds and packaging for a further 100,000."

Whew 100,000 empty cases - I wonder when the Met are going to sell those off - I could do with a few hundred for all the Live Bootlegs I dont have ;-)
