Pubs in Leicester

Long shot time:

On Saturday I'm working at Leicester v West Ham, but have every intention of finding a watering hole where I can shout at the TV and get odd looks from the locals while Coventry v Sunderland is on.

So .... anyone in the Leicester area have any recommendations for pubs near the Walkers Stadium:
1) which show the football;
2) which aren't full of wankers;
3) which serve decent food;
4) which serve decent beer;
5) which are populated by available women with an inexplicable weakness for scrawny northerners muttering incoherently in the corner.

Rankings are prioritised. Beer would be higher, but I'm driving. If anyone finds a venue that fits all five I'll move house!

right. i'm afraid the prognosis is not good. the only recommendation i could illicit that comes anywhere close to fulfilling your requirements was the dry dock which is a little over a mile from the ground. directions are here.

failing that (and assuming you're driving) you could always blast around the inner ring road and join the delightful sexygoth and myself in our local. i can guarantee that the game will be shown and the company's excellent. let me know if you want further details...

Hmm. Under ordinary circumstances a whizz round the ring-road would be fine, especially for the second half (I'm assuming post press conferences I'll struggle to be out before 5.30 anyway).

However, with a Hammerette in tow and every prospect of her wanting a swift exit to sulk in peace after David Connolly bangs in a hat-trick I'm not sure anything beyond walking distance will be acceptable. Especially since I'm driving, so I control the stereo, so she has to put up with my taste in music all the way from Essex. And back again.

Obviously this means that option five is no longer a relevant priority. How does the Dry Dock score on the other four?
