I'm now officially back home and can't wait to get into my own bed. Mauritius is a very interesting place and I had a great time, I'll be posting photos from my journey in my gallery before the weekend.

Impressions of Mauritius
Roads and Driving
There are few good roads in Mauritius and the further you go from the airport the worse they get. All backroads are of very poor quality.
You drive on the left hand side of the road. If you feel like it.
Hooting gives you right of way. Mostly.
Masses of mo-peds. Everywhere.
Buildings
It appears that none of the local's homes have been completed, this is said to be for tax reasons, almost all houses look like they're just about to start adding and extra level. Even the Mosques.
The Hindu temples are the most crazy buildings ever.
Sea
Is nice and warm and clear
Weather
Was mostly overcast while I was there, but that didn't stop me wearing shorts and t-shirts the whole time

if you speak french you'll have a huge head start, but my advice is to wait until it warms up a bit.
