... keeping my post count down, the keeper of the gates goes and leaves me on my own for a weekend. You have been warned.

Will it be Francis 'think before you post', helper of old ladies across the road and nauseatingly nice man who posts? Or will Thrash Harry 'fuck you all' rise from the ashes and decimate the forum with his vitriol as the alcohol flows ..? :innocent:

Dear John. You can be so hurtful. I'm wounded to the core.

The core being where TH lurks no doubt. Guess that's me off-line from 9pm tonight for the entire weekend before TH gets wind of my post and exercises his demonic possession over Francis. :urff:

* The horror. The horror... *

Well it is Friday 13th. My grandson's birthday actually. And I've had the day off cos I had to take my car in for its MOT, so I've started opening bottles earlier than usual so I'll probably have fallen over before 9 tonight.

And for the first time in about - ooooohhh nearly ten years - I've actually got a technically challenging project to look forward to. Internet-based, but no Java programming for me. :D

Thankyou for reminding me of that most excellent of albums. Haven't listened to it for a while. Just dug it out now. Shame the fields are all too wet to lie down in.

Are you gonna be able to make Crewe on the 22nd? Should be well worth a visit. The Smurphs ARE very good (just PM JB if you don't believe me) and you'll get to meet QB and Paddy - two of the nicest guys on the planet. Not to mention other assorted Heartlanders, all of whom are fine, upstanding members of society. They've always made Pam and I feel most welcome. So I'm sure they'll do the same for a gentleman such as yourself.

You've usually got to fight your way through a whole bunch of them to get to the bar.

As long as you avoid well-lubricated ladies of the night, you might be in with a chance. :innocent:
