The five albums, all originally released in the 1980s, have been remastered and repackaged with the involvement of Gavin Friday and include mixes of material available here for the first time. The reissues represent an overdue opportunity to rediscover the awesome creative power of the Virgin Prunes.

Virgin Prunes formed in Dublin in the late 70s, coming out of the infamous Lypton Village scene which also spawned U2. The band was fronted by Gavin Friday and fellow Villagers Guggi, Dave-id Busaras Scott (vocals), Strongman (bass), Dik Evans (brother of U2's The Edge; guitar), Mary D'Nellon (drums) and Pod (drums).

The 12" vinyl only single "An Extended Play" features a brand new mix of "Baby Turns Blue" by "...If I Die, I Die" producer, Colin Newman (Wire).

I have absolutely no idea what "a very dry, sir" means Down The Memory Lane was a compilation of V. Prunes I heard sometime in the early 80s

Good news! I'm particularly interested in "Heresie", mainly due to the song "We Love Deirdre". Gee, I wonder why. ;)

Apologises for the delay in responding. I've been in therapy ever since collapsing with shock after just reading the title of this thread.

You are all very, very sick puppies. :urff:

Hmm.

All we need now is a DVD release of the 'Sons Find Devils' video. Storming versions of Caucasion Walk and Walls of Jericho.

I spent flippin AGES tracking down the 'Heresie' 10" single box set on ebay. Not an arm and a leg but not much change from a foot and a forearm :o Took about eight months of bidding on a couple of dozen auctions to get it. Got it, put it in a box (hid it in a tree ;) ) and there its remained.

Wheres me credit card; theres CDs in them there URL's......
