they're from leeds
they use a drum machine
they're very thin
one of them's called "von"
they have worked with choque hosein (ex-salvation guitarist, gary marx's producer & friend, and practically my neighbour it would seem!!)
and they get compared with all the right bands

if they're the lads i'm thinking of they actually look like the strokes, if the strokes had done cheaper speed and slept in a bus station for a few weeks
i'm pretty sure i've seen them trapsing through farsley, which given the apparent proximity of choq's place to my house it would make sense.
they could do with hitching up their jeans though - the bottoms were all frayed

the leeds scene from "back in the day" is so incestuous
for example:
aki, the drummer from southern death cult, is now the frontman for fun^da^mental.
choq used to record under the name of "black star liner" and did some stuff with fun^da^mental.
dave ball, ex-soft cell, remixed some black star liner stuff when he was in "the grid"
and it goes on.

dubious choice in underpants, Sir!
