i'd like to point out that apart from Mrs Gripper's birthday, Mr S and I have had 2.5 days off work together in a year, so yah boo sucks.

all my holiday, including a week extra, unpaid, was spent in school doing observations... or doing exams.

i did have a two days off to go and see the darkness abroad, but that wasnt exactly restful.

Ness.. if you can stand heights, go up in the lift in the Sagrada Famillia... The view is allegedly spectacular. You can go and stand outside on teh butresses.

Funnily enough, I'm out of touch Monday and Tuesday too; bombing down the M1 on Sunday, cross channel "booze-cruise" on Monday (just for the day to the Calais hyper-markets) and then back up the M1 on Tuesday.

How much wine can we fit in the back? (With the seats down, naturally.)

Em...me go UP things??? Oh my giddy aunt, never in a squillion years. I DID however try going up onto the roof of the cathedral in the Gothic quarter - fine, was dead proud of myself, so I got a bit cocky and thought I'd climb up the roof trusses (all legit honest there were steps and everything. I don't just clamber up artefacts willy nilly) took one step onto the next level, came over all wobbly and had to retreat at a great rate of knots.

Went up the Casa Mila and was dead brave - figuring that if I fell I'd just break a couple of bones rather than my entire body.
