My friend's Dad has one of those!! Infact they are my FAVOURITE plane. They used to be stationed just up the road from where I used to live - but they were scrapped and now we've got crappy AWAC's instead.CellThree wrote:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 99633&rd=1
Went past the preserved Vulcan at Southend Airport yesterday. The sole redeeming feature of a drab airfield. And AWACS are dull, even by the standards of planes.Debaser wrote:My friend's Dad has one of those!! Infact they are my FAVOURITE plane. I remember the last day, the last Vulcan flew at RAF Waddington. 1983 it was, Augustish. The route was over my house and, being the sad case I am' wrote 'BYE@ on the back loawn with white towels and sheets and the like (jeeez I WAS sad) The plane flew over two or three times...and on the fourth time, tipped it's wings as it flew over...eeeeh I welled up I did.
GAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one.
