Well one review on IMDB does describe it as "total fantasy"...

The American Civil War. I'm pretty sure they won that one...

I vaguely remember America being turned into a refugee nation, pleading with Mexico to let them in  Which made me giggle anyway

Better in the cinema. The SFX work more impressively on a big screen.

Otherwise, Hollywood hokum and eye-candy. Brain into neutral and gawp with the proles.

Quite enjoyed it, to be honest. In a "so what" kind of way.

ditto. but i probably disliked it slightly less than you.... otherwise spot on. seen worse, seen better. a nice idea quite well executed.

Thumbs in neutral, to match my brain. Didn't resent the couple of hours I spent watching it, but didn't feel I would have missed out if I'd never seen it.

The rest of the evening went downhill when my car radiator sprang a leak and left me stranded in the depths of Wiltshire. Don't ask.

It wa the most fun I'd ever had in the cinema, taking the wee wee out of a film.

Has anyone seen Alien vs Predator? Another example of conveyor belt moviemaking. But at least it has Gigers designs going for it. And the facehuggers (shudder). :urff:
