*Delurks*
Sorry to make my first post here an'advert' but I am just about to sell my vinyl collection which has resided under my stairs for the last 5 years.
Most of it worthless crap that will not raise much interest, but I am/was a big follower of AE and his merry bunch of mercenaries from 1983 onwards.
I have an original DD and a BE which I realise are worth a few bob so before I sell them on e-bay I wondered if any of you would be interested.
I know you all know the difference between a fake and a genuine article so I am not going to mess you about these are genuine and I have owned them since 1985. They are both mint.
I also have all the usual 7 and 12 inch singles and albums on vinyl up to Floodland. They got played a lot and taken to school so they are not so mint.
If anyone is interested make me a sensible offer for either or both of the rare items by PM. If you want anything else let me know and I'll see if I have it. I can e-mail photos if you want to see them.
Cheers
Mr E.

*wants* Sadly, both are worth hundreds and I am poor. Can I have a scan of Body Electric please?
(Is it okay to scan the vinyl itself? If so, can I have a scan of that too please?
)

I knew I should have hung on to all my copies! It seems you can get more for one copy now (even fakes) than you could get for the whole batch at the time.

I have been a bit naive about this I think.
To make it fair I will accept bids up until Thursday 18/12/04 23:00 GMT. The highest bidder(s) by then gets the goods. I will not discuss who has bid the most. I will e-mail you a photo of what you are interested in to show I have acknowledged you bid.

Hi Ryan, make me an 'insane' offer and you have as much chance as anyone else.
Cheers

It's possible mine could be one of yours then. I got them from a dealer in Manchester (who would be kicking himself if he read this) who was getting copies from a source in Leeds. He got 3 sets in total. My friend and I bought 2 of the 3 sets and yes my friend still has his too.

... putting up high resolution pictures somewhere would be helpful
(not to see what it looks like but to establish it's quality (mint, not so mint etc ...)

I must admit you have a point and as I am a new member my reputation here can't count for much can it. All I can say is I am not here to rip anyone off I just want a good price for my rareities and that they go to a collector of TSOM and not some dealer who will rip one of you off for more later.
What do you suggest just stick it on e-bay and post the link here instead?
As suggested I will post pictures on a website when I figure out how to FTP them (not really a computer geek, sorry).
I can e-mail some now if you pm me with your e-mail
Thanks
Mr E.

for the duration of the sale (as they're such a valuable items) if you want to upload any photos you have to the heartland gallery?
stick them here:
http://www.myheartland.co.uk/gallery/ca ... p?cat_id=8
see the grey UPLOAD button in the top right?
and then i'll remove them when you let me know they've been sold.

Thanks for all the help Quiff Boy.
P.S. No one take the P**s regarding my duvet cover (I saw what you said about someones carpet on ebay), and yes my photography is about as good as my computer literacy or my grasp of the Gregorian Calander

Ah what the fu
ck, I'm not bothered who knows. I paid £40 for
BE. But who got the
DD and how much did you pay?
And just having met Mr. Ektion and "done the deal", I can vouch for his fine, moral upstanding character
And he informs me that some more copies may be coming up for sale...
Mr Ektion wrote:My friend and I bought 2 of the 3 sets and yes my friend still has his too.
...from this friend, who on hearing the prices Mr E got decided he might sell after all.

Ohhh... if no-one had bidded and I'd just said "a tenner" I would have gotten it.
I have Body And Soul now, though, and I prefer the remixed version, but it'd have been so nice to have Body Electric/Adrenochrome...
