Paris Riots? Bah. I prefer the Trumpton Riots myself.

Is it too much to suspect that "something" is going on??
I know of bands that retain domain names that are the name of the forthcoming album single etc etc...
Is this just a vain hope?

Yup. IIRC Paris Riots and the Leeds Underground were projects Andrew claimed to be working on circa 96/97. He may even have hinted that recordings were put out on Merciful Release, but nobody I know has ever seen copies. At the time he was still contracted to EastWest and obviously unable to officially release anything. Whether this was cloak and dagger or simply smoke and mirrors, I don't think anybody ever reallyfound out...
Or if they did, they're not telling

'Official' announcement.
The Sisters of Mercy are no longer a functioning rock and roll band. They are now only to be described as Web page designers. So if you have pictures of your pets and want an all bells and whistles web site dedicated to them, contact Von Eldritch at Sistersofjava.com

@Rivers
Do you think they might knock me up an e-commerce site that does not sell anything, has no intention of selling anything but just looks impressive on the web???
sistersofjava....lmao!!!

The Paris Riots project gets mentioned around 1986 when he was doing the SISTERHOOD project!

Wan't that "time flies by when you're a driver of a train"? Not that I am a HMHB completist. Great song nonetheless

Okay, go on, I'll tell you all. Due to ongoing conflicts with Adam over the mode of releasing material and financial guarantees, Von and Chris have decided to go it alone. They're writing songs together, but for legal reasons have decided to leave the name The Sisters of Mercy out of it for now. Call this The Sisterhood Mark 2. The name The Paris Riots will be the vehicle for low-budget and, possibly, pay-per-download releases.
Alright, this is only a hunch. Okay then, I blatantly just made it up. But if it all comes true, I shall change my name to David Icke, and make you all worship at the Church of Zarglefnood.

unless Von found a very cheap domain name registrar and decided to register all the domains he'd ever wanted at a discount price?
