Now, I've got no idea what carcinogenic polycyclic hydrocarbons are, but I reckon they're no good.

Ok. Quick chemistry lesson - imagine six atoms of carbon with a hydrogen atom attached to each. These six pairs join up to form a hexagon shape (known as a 'benzene ring'). Polycyclic hyrocarbons are formed when 2 or more of these rings join together, and are one of the by-products of burning fossil fuels (petrol, oil, coal etc.)
