Inspired by the monster hangover that accompanied me on my train journey back from Edinburgh yesterday
I got to thinking what are the best albums to listen to with a thumping heidache?
I'll start off with Zero 7 - Simple Things - sheer aural bliss...it did the trick for me anyway. There were even a couple of screaming brats on the train, didn't bother me one bit thanks to
THESE <clicky>
Any others?

The last album I found helped with a thumping headache was Faith & The Muse "Elyria"...

pop down your sony shop and spend 40 quid on some in ear phones,
might look like a waste of money, but the pair i bought
sound great (good bass, treble etc) and block out any ambient brat sounds
...might also be good
for christmas,,,,

They cost a bit more than £40 but were worth every penny.

Conversely, My Bloody Valentine's stuff is a definite no-no for recovering to.
Isn't Anything or Loveless + Hangover = Rapid Vomit Action.
Luvvly...
Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music is the SOUND of a hangover. Also best-avoided.

I've said it many times before, but I'll say it gaian: SSV.
Not only great for hangovers, but also for migraines and menstrual pains.

To be honest, I think Mr Blast has (quietly) hit the nail on the head...Radio 4 (as he sez, not the bleedin' NY Public Image Limited/Clash wannabes) is the best way to recover possible - calming but entertaining without hectoring...that's what yer need...
And PiB's got a point too...as a recent convert to messrs simon and garfunkel, there's something about their stuff which is like a salve to the furrowed and hungover brow!
Frankie Teardrop...eeeekkkkkkk...let's not go there. ouch!

quite possibly. don't know what it was about them, but it was just right. haven't done it for many years though, so maybe it was just one of those things i grew out of.
