Does someone know if the following items exist :
Echoes volume 2 (LP + booklet)
Sleeve : picture of a skull, title bottom centered, white LIMITED EDITION sticker under band name
Label : Speed of Light Records
Live in Holland (LP)
Sleeve : title top center (under band name), overall colour dark green
Label : The Amazing Kornyphone Rebirth Label - TAKRL 2122
Wholy ghost (LP)
Sleeve : A4 cover, picture of a grail, band name and title top center
Label : Trade Mark of Quality
All this comes from the excellent book "The unofficial history of The Sisters of Mercy"

Hello, Bruno I see you are still looking for those.
Live In Holland was featured in one of Patrick Tappe's bootleg guides, but I never ever heared of anyone who had a copy (Thomas
Meyer perhaps ?). I think it is a ltd. edition of 100 copies like the other TAKRL releases, but probably not all of them circulated (?) ...

I've got that one. It doesn't have a picture on the sleeve though. The sleeve is off-white with "sisters of mercy / wholy ghost" on. Trade Mark Of Quality records all had that sort of bog standard sleeve. I've seen the grail pic on merciless.net. I don't recall any of the TMOQ records having a picture sleeve, unless someone else did a repressing or designed the sleeve themself.

I have all the other TAKRL releases, except this one. I have never heard of someone having this Live in Holland. Just wonder where Patrick Tappe got the picture of the sleeve from.
I do know there is 1 collector who has the Wholy Ghost with grail sleeve so it exist, but I just wonder how many do exist. Maybe someone knows ?
Anyway, thanks to all for the replies !
Cheers,
Bruno

Hmm ... interesting, but not complete. I have never heard of these items, so wonder if they really exist :
Don't Give It Away
Fade to Black
Hand of God
Some Kind of Strangers
If someone has a copy of one of these items for sale/trade for me, please let me know.

I remember this very interesting thread. Thanks for digging it out Paul!
The black Live in Holland lp mentioned in the thread I was offered turned out to be just a copy of Possession disc one with white sleeve (as Cyberbio's copy), so no news here.

Well, there are more bootlegs which are just copies of others. It's more the whole package (sleeve + lp) who became mythical.
I have done some more research the past few weeks but could not get new information.
The Amazing Kornyphone Rebirth Label was actually a German bootleg label from Frankfurt in the eighties. More information here :

It would be good to find out who these guys were just to get more insight on all their infamous releases.

That's the wrong link. It's The Amazing Kornyfone
Record Label, they're a sub-label of Trade Mark of Quality.
http://www.discogs.com/label/The+Amazin ... cord+Label
I have the TMOQ "Wholy Ghost" LP in front of me now and it mentions The Amazing Kornyfone Record Label and Trade Mark of Quality on the insert.

One comment, see also my remarks in this thread and on PD: The same concert / lp was also featured as 3rd record (side E and F) in the TAKRL box set "The Dark" with the release no. TAKRL 2212
